CHINESE ZODIAC (CZ12)

No matter how hard the storm of criticism that hit Chinese Zodiac critics, the film will still be watched by tens of millions of viewers from around the world - Oh well, Asia in this regard. Received poor reception it does not matter because this movie has a herb guarantor of success in the box office, Jackie Chan and action. Yup, the majority of the audience that filled the theater in droves certainly hope to see cool action from Chan. Chinese Zodiac touted as' Jackie Chan comeback' her into the realm of action after so many years struggling in roles that required him to act serious. At-101-movie to her which was a reboot of the Armour of God and its sequel, Armour of God II: Operation Condor was Chan not only served as actor, producer, script writer and director, but also 'a busybody' in technical department began as a cinematographer, artistic director, choreographer, stunt games, to catering coordinator. Whoaaa ... piece, sir? The question is, whether by Jackie Chan are involved in almost every part, will help boost the overall quality of the movie or even just .... drown him? Let's see ...

Chinese Zodiac - or it could be called a CZ12 - begin the story with the emergence of 12 pieces of sculpture heads a star is a representation of the 12 Chinese astrological figure who has long been declared extinct in the various auction house prices soar. MP Corp, a company auction for collectors headed by Lawrence (Oliver Platt), to collect complete the 12 sculptures. Then, by the presence of a number of relics along the 'Chinese Zodiac' whereabouts are still unknown, Lawrence employs JC (Jackie Chan). With the lure of a big payoff, JC had put together a team (Kwon Sang-woo, Zhang Lan Xin and Liao Fan) and act immediately. Information obtained from a professor delivers museum curator JC and small teams to Paris where they met up with Coco (Yao Xing Tong), the leader of a foundation of protection of historical objects. Without knowing the real goal, Coco willing to help JC. With Coco, and then a rich woman named Katherine (Laura Weissbecker), joined the team, the hunt was officially started.

On paper, the Chinese Zodiac as a project sounds promising. Jackie Chan returned to its roots in film production joint action comedy spiced Hong Kong and China. However, unfortunately, the end result did not meet expectations and tend to disappoint. This is definitely not something to be desired when watching Jackie Chan back in action on the silver screen. Chinese Zodiac is present as a film that barely powered. With a duration that extends to the whole 123 minutes, the film feels exhausting to follow. Chan decision to avoid any kind of cliché in the fabric of storytelling instead it backfired for the film itself. Instead of creating a row of serving fresh and innovative game, it does actually work especial manuscript. Actually, there is nothing wrong with the title story clichés they all die the way boxed and hidangnya. What happens, starring Wong Fei-hung in Drunken Master dwilogi this would fill a script with multiple conflicts and diverse characters so crowded and lose focus. In fact, I had become confused and wondering, "what I really want to be told by this movie?."

By touching all departments, the performance of Jackie Chan actually seem less likely maximum and half-half. Nothing really stands out here is that the audience could not unnerved by it. The text is supported by messy mat monotonous action and jokes that already feels old-fashioned. Perhaps, it is still successful if done 10 years ago, but for now? Sorry, no. Chan evident ambition to repeat its heyday through the Chinese Zodiac. The problems faced by it, he's trying too hard. The decision to avoid the shallow script - but unfortunately only made a confusing tangle of storytelling and drab - rather than trying to show the fight choreography is 'unpredictable' and we have not seen is the biggest mistake here. It's very, very unfortunate.

Even so, Chinese Zodiac is not necessarily transformed into an entirely bad movie and can not be enjoyed. Although nearly half of the film made me want to nod off and it was, if anything, press the 'fast forward' to the suffering to be over, there are still some parts that are quite enjoyable. Part initially painful, but especially when stepping on the middle of the movie and the buddy-cronies JC landed on an uninhabited island, 'life' in this film began appearing. There is a feeling eager to return following the film. With a limited set, humor, excitement, and chaos is well conveyed. These are the initial coveted. After the mission completed, the chart was again declined until finally rebounded despite a closing brief but quite thrilling and showed finesse and courage of Jackie Chan in a scene in the air freefall continued with rolling around on the slopes of volcano crater without wearing protective gurung head.

In the end, as a 'comeback' as well as an ambitious mega project, Chinese Zodiac or CZ12 failed run well. With a script that is too chaotic in the long duration without any action scenes row that 'outstanding', is more than enough time watching this one. Weak almost no power, tedious, tiresome, while easily overlooked is the right word to describe this movie. Unless you are a fan of Jackie Chan who just want to see it again like mad in a series of action scenes in the film made Hong Kong and China, the Chinese Zodiac will only get disappointed.
