MAMA

Are you ready to welcome the new character in a horror film that will leave you aghast at once quickly became a classic in years to come? If so, let us welcome ... Mama. After a few years is too much blood and carnage in horror movies from Hollywood, so thanks to Guillermo del Toro who led the new talent, a traditional horror ready to serve you. Starting from a short spooky movie subscription praises duration 3 minutes titled Mama, Andres Muschietti entice movie watchers the world. Without a doubt, having made unnerved, del Toro and then design a feature-length film project for Mama to the originator of the original ideas remain behind the wheel. After development for the sake of development, Mama was ready to go back to scare the audience that once this move to the silver screen. With the fabric of the story that is longer, more complex, and more, will the big screen version of Mama still able to attend or instead is far more gripping than his short film version? Let's peel.

The nightmare began in 2008 when the economic crisis that caused the business was forced down. One of the victims, Jeffrey (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), unable to deal with the pounding pressure to decide to eliminate life and his wife and business partner. After being the executioner, Jeffrey fled with their two daughters, Victoria and Lily. Travel does not take place in a safe and convenient for speeding position, Jeffrey could not control the car then ended up in the ravine. Survived, three figures then waded wilderness and found a hut called Helvetia. Jeffrey plans to execute two daughters in this place. Yet the plan was realized, the mysterious creature suddenly present, save the girl and killing her father lives. Is it all over? Of course not, this is still a prologue. The audience then herded into the next 5 years by introducing a pair Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Annabel (Jessica Chastain) whose tireless search for the presence of Victoria (Megan Charpentier) and Lily (Isabelle Nelisse) which vanished as if swallowed by the earth.

After a search process that lasted for years, Victoria and Lily found. Do not expect to see the two boys were in tears of happiness to see his life was saved, Victoria and Lily just shows behavior that is far below the acceptable limit as the effects of trying to survive in the wild for five years. Lucas and Annabel, who also received help from Dr. Dreyfuss (Daniel Kash), helter skelter after them. Over time, and with the development of the relationship of the girl with Annabel, odd events begin to show face. Looks like someone (or even just something?) Who does not seem willing to see Victoria and Lily 'move to another heart'. With the shadows, or sounds founder chilling, the audience soon realized they had entered the playing arena actually having previously introduced first to the protagonist through a thrilling opening scene.

Early half of the film is the best part of the movie trying to tread this realm of pure horror. Tension is built through the silent atmosphere that makes the audience guessing what will suddenly appear in front of them. Preparation in welcoming the sudden appearance of her hands covering her face or fingers clog the ear hole. Admittedly, Andres Muschietti quite succeeded in presenting a phase of anxiety within the audience. Being 'Mama' is still completely mysterious one factor contributed to the discomfort that comes burst, and was coupled with the scoring title is quite successful in making the audience jump from theater seats. Then, we follow an investigation by Dr. Dreyfuss to dismantle the true identity of the mysterious figure-that-often-called Mama by the girls. It's fun, and of course stressful. When Mama identity - which in the film version embodied by an actor named Javier Botet and combined with CGI - revealed, unfortunately slowly but surely, the tension began to slacken.

No problem for me when Andres Muschietti movie turned into a family drama that confuse blue-clad fantasy or horror as he entered the last minute. Fair successfully delivered to the audience emotions helped raised. What makes the 'mood' I suddenly collapsed when the figure was no longer Mama stage fright and began to appear effeminate. This is a major mistake - which for some reason has been repeated nationwide in a horror movie, meh - in a horror film. As someone who actually creepy and mysterious should be more often manifest themselves, then that's when the movie should have ended. This should be a climax. The decision to continue to bang the heart of the audience through the figure of Mama's flavor-it pops up every 5 minutes or so with a sprinkling of music that surprises even eventually backfire on the film itself. The fear that had built up, suddenly collapsed instantly. It is very unfortunate. Lucky, Mama still has an eerie scene in the latter part - although no longer surprising if it had listened to his short film version - and the players are acting with the chemistry that exists to convince Mama did not really jump from a cliff.

In the end, Mama is not a mat containing exhibits of terror and horror scenes special, but overall still able to invite fear - and a bit of compassion - the audience. It will be a spectacle that is fun for those who like to be frightened, or easily startled audiences with just a little boom only. But for a horror movie enthusiast who expects the surprises and the terror that haunts, she only looks a little better than some horror films emerged lately. Starting with a very convincing steps, unfortunately Mama became increasingly weak and stumbling when trying to reach the finish line. The fear has been well established as the figure fell instantly Mama began to love the camera. Mom forgot the goal is present in this film is to scare the audience, not to pose with a strange style.
