BATTLESHIP

Transformers in the water. That first impression is obtained shortly after watching the trailer when played just before Hugo began. And, first impressions are never wrong. To learn that this movie will have more or less the same premise with the robot movie, plus the fact that the set of simple game Battleship Hasbro made, then the sky-high hopes that will not give you any satisfaction. According to Paul in his article entitled "How to Determine Bad Movie From a Good One", the film adaptation of a game tend to be weak in the script because it does not have sufficient background material. Then the only way to enjoy the Battleship is to throw all logic and just enjoy what is presented on the screen regardless of the plot is paper-thin, of course. When you manage to enjoy it, I congratulate you. If not, then please join me at a nearby coffee shop and talk about other movies.

The first half of the film made by Peter Berg is the most excruciating moments. We are introduced to the main character, Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch), which of course is a loser who can not be relied upon at all. He put his heart to Samantha (Brooklyn Decker), a physical therapist once beloved daughter of a high officer in the navy, Vice Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson). The opening scene of this movie reminds me a little more Star Trek version of the JJ Abrams. Alex introduction begins with Sam at a bar. Do not know anything about this girl, Alex felt the need to steal the heart of the girl, by way of stealing the mini burrito. Opens with a scene that his intention to be funny but crisp, Battleship and change direction quickly when brother Alex, Stone (Alexander Skarsgård), embarrassed to see Alex's behavior is childish. Stone forced his brother to join the navy. Starting from here, without the need to have a crystal ball or the ability to predict, what happens next is predictable with ease.

Alex difficulty adjusting to life in the navy, which vary much with the daily habit. Alien forces that come from a planet that has similarities with the Earth (Wait, I'm not watching Melancholia or Another Earth, right?) With the aim of which was ignored by anyone, invade the earth. Once again, they made America the center of the landing. This time not in Washington DC, but moved to the Hawaiian Islands. Just as they had done before, despite all the attacks launched by death, Alien is indeed a noble mission. He helps a child of Adam to find his true identity, grow mature, and save millions of human beings. To achieve this, then someone who is loved but does not have an important role for the movie must be destroyed first. Of course once to add dramatic effect. Say goodbye to Alexander Skarsgård. The sooner he goes, the better for him.
