THE HUNGER GAMES

Set in a future where the world after nuclear war destroyed and the United States be divided into several new areas. In an area called Panem, we are introduced to an annual extreme game that became the title of this film, The Hunger Games. Twenty-four young teens, each consisting of twelve men and twelve women, selected at random where they represent the twelve districts of Panem is released into the wild until only one person survived. Plot somewhat reminds me of Battle Royale, the film made in 2000 from Japan, adapted from the same titled novel, which tells the number of troubled students were sent to a remote island to kill each other and the winner is the last student to survive.
